   CREUSE : IN THE HEART OF THE GREEN AND BLUE COUNTRY
When we visit France, particularly  our regions  and territories, we are always delighted to meet the men and women who live there, through their great preserved cultural and
heritage  witness   of   our  history  complemented  by  landscapes  where  magical  and
magical colors are  often  drawn at  daybreak  that  accompany  the fauna and flora and 
nothing like it than  a  getaway to  the  CREUSE  department  to  discover its attractions integrating all that nature has to offer.
Comprising  an  area  of  5,565 kms2  for  a  population  of 117,340  inhabitants  and also  nicknamed the Green and Blue Country,the Department of Creuse is a territory located in   central  France  in  the  Nouvelle  Aquitaine region located at
controlled distances from other French departments in parallel with neighboring  European  countries  with a varied and multiple configuration integrating  welcoming  and  easy  natural  places  and  spaces  of  access  for getaways and stays
practiced individually or with family which are  found in  particular  in its  forests  massifs such as that of Chabriéres with
its annex park of  13  hectares  designated “Parc Animalier Des Monts" From Guéret »  including an  imposing pack of 45 wolves  before  discovering  its  numerous  lakes  suitables for  nautical  leisure  activities  and  walks  along  their  gentle
undulating banks which are practiced  with  pleasure in  particular  at Lake of Vassiviére, a great and wild site with an air 
of "Little Canada" located in the heart of the Natural Regional Of Millevaches Park  as  well as  discovering its  ponds and rivers including 2 labeled rivers » Wild Rivers Places " what are La Gioune  and  La  Pic  which  delight  wild  trout  fishing
enthusiasts at the same time as observing the variety of its fauna and flora  which it is  pleasant  to  meet, particularly by 
observing the European otter which can be easily spotted thanks  to its  footprints  marked at the  edge of watercourses 
such as staying at the Pond Des Landes ornithological reserve classified as a national reserve since 2004 where we come 
across more than a thousand species animals and more than 200 species of birds the whole being in  good  balance with
good practices and codes of  ecotourism  respectful  of  environmental  protection  which  can  also  be  found  on the 13 
labeled sites NATURA 2000 which are well suited for local leisure activities in the same way as  visit other  unique places
all as shimmering as each other as in the Vallée  Des  Peintres,  along  the  banks  of  the  Sédelle, near  the  Cascade Des Jarrauds or by climbing the steep cliffs of Rocher De La  Fileuse or  the  view  of the  confluents of  Creuse and Sédelle is
great thus completing radiant landscapes renowned for  also  offering  fans  outdoor  sports  ideal conditions taking into
account the many possibilities whether in the context of hiking practiced on  marked  roads for  getaways either  for one
day or during circuits spread over several days as well as discovering the numerous  spaces  appreciated by  horse riding enthusiasts and cyclists also including well-positioned and adapted  for fans  of this  active  sport, very  developed in the Creuse, which is mountain biking.

Closer to Nature in Its Pure State

 This shimmering territory that we never  tire of discovering also has  a magnificently preserved architectural and cultural heritage, witness to our history that we  encounter in  authentic  great villages  and towns like Bénévent-l'Abbaye and La
Souterraine  located  on  the  road to  Saint  Jacques  De  Compostelle,Chambon  Sur Voueize,Masgot,Moutier-D'Ahun or
Bourganeuf  which  we  visit  with  pleasure  while  strolling  in  their  small  streets  dotted  with  brightly colored flowers
complemented by typical shops decorated with local traditions areas  before  travelling  the "Vallée De La  Creuse" called
"Vallée Des Peintres" where Claude Monet and George Sand renowned impressionist painters stayed  in parallel with the exhibitions that we visit each year in designated spaces, often from July to November as  in  the  Pays  Dunois and which 
are stopping places Interesting  before  joining  Aubusson, a  beautiful,  great  and  rebellious  city which houses the Cité 
Internationale De  La  Tapisserie in  parallel to  its  referencing and  its  know-how  to the  intangible cultural  heritage of 
humanity by UNESCO .Staying  in Creuse  also means  discovering  its gastronomic  heritage  and enjoying the pleasures 
of  the  table  complementing  the  fact  that  we  are  in a  region  renowned  for its  gastronomy which  we taste in good
restaurants as  well as  local  producers of  good  local  products that we  meet  in their  shops or  on markets like that of
Felletin and who are happy to introduce you and help you taste Creuse specialities which are notably the fondu creusois
the  potato  pâté,  the  clafoutis  creusois, the  pâté of  dumplings  without  forgetting the  famous  Creuse cake,delicious
hazelnut cake inherited from an ancestral recipe and for lovers of stays that go off the beaten track,nothing  like staying
in gites,rooms ,guest houses or tree houses to taste the charms of rural tourism which allows, in addition to tasting local
products, enjoying holidays or weekends enhanced with authenticity and conviviality particularly  at the end  of summer
and at the beginning of autumn in the context, for example, of stays and chestnut and  mushroom formulas  that delight
young and old.This territory is fascinating  and  surprising  because it  delights  bith fans  of nature,sports  and large wild
spaces, history enthusiasts and its heritage and its past are rich and diverse and the  artists in love with  colors and their

spaces and full of emotions which make The Creuse an ideal and unforgettable holiday destination.
